You will be learning hands-on in small groups to produce your creations, and then of course enjoy them through out each weekend!

Announcing Doubled Date Donations!
As a lodge owner, I am quite frankly bombarded by requests for donations. So many deserving organizations, charities and causes are always looking for donations for their fundraising and/or sponsorship reward needs.
I have decided to formalize our participation in supporting these causes rather than considering them on an ad hoc basis. My hope is that this way ALL deserving causes can get the support they need.
Announcing our Doubled Date Donation Program. The concept is simple: when you purchase a stay or gift certificate as a donation to a 501(c)3 organization, I will DOUBLE your contribution. This works for gift certificates, whole lodge rentals, individual room rentals, etc. Lodging stays based on availability of course. Here’s some examples:
You want to make a $500 donation to Wounded Warriors? Purchase a $250 gift certificate for use at Crystalwood Lodge, and I’ll double the value to $500.
You want to give your local community charity a special private anniversary getaway to offer in their raffle drawing? Get them a 2 night stay in one of our rooms, and I’ll double it to 4 nights, making for a great prize sure to draw lots of excitement and entries.
You want to give your school or library foundation a great showcase offering for their annual fundraising auction? Give them a Crystalwood Lodge Exclusive (whole lodge rental) package of any length, and I’ll double it for their benefit.
The fine print:
I’m striving to make this absolutely as easy as possible, so here’s the scoop. For any donation through our Doubled Date Donation program, the purchase will be doubled. The amount can be applied to lodging, room tax, equipment rentals and gift shop purchases. When you get a donation, tell me what 501(c)3 organization you will be giving the donation to. I will get in contact with them directly and will send them the doubled amount (in your name, of course). So you get the kudos and the organization gets a terrific fundraising/reward tool! Redemption subject to availability, reservations required. No blackout dates. Well-behaved pets, bring your owners.
What a super easy way to have a huge impact with those causes you are passionate about! Now that feels pretty great, doesn’t it?

It’s a win-win for everyone. Your group of up to 16+ can enjoy the entire Lodge and property and have it all to yourselves! I am excited because this enables me to have the Lodge open this winter, for if folks come and rent the entire lodge for 2, 3, 4 or 5+ nights, it makes it economically viable for me to open it up and make it available. We’re due to have a great winter, so make plans now to come and enjoy it!
Use of the Lodge with a Lodge Exclusive rental comes with use of the fully outfitted commercial kitchen at no extracharge. If you’ve been thinking about having a family get-together for the holidays, or a group outing to enjoy Crater Lake National Park in all her winter glory, book now!
The longer you rent the Lodge, the less per night it is. The cost per night drops significantly, depending on how many nights you want to explore our little corner of paradise!
We’re still pet welcoming, and for those families who want to be together for the holidays, everyone under one roof…Crystalwood Lodge is your perfect spot! We’re near the year-round south entrance to Crater Lake National Park, which is even more stunning and quiet in the off-season.
Last year we had a family from Klamath Falls and other places in southern oregon join us for Christmas that normally had to spread out amongst 2-3 houses or several hotel rooms — everyone was altogether here, enjoying those special Christmas memories for adults and kids alike.
This year…your turn? Or perhaps Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, President’s Day…book soon to snag your spot in paradise!
So whether you’re looking to book an artist workshop, family reunion, church retreat, scrapbooking weekend, adventure experience or just an incredibly private and utterly relaxing getaway with those closest to you…we look forward to hosting you, making sure everything is taken care of for you, and helping you create some extra special memories in our corner of paradise! We offer guests full and complete use of our commercial kitchen facility in lieu of providing served meals. Use of the kitchen facilities is included and there are no additional charges. Our Klamath Falls lodging is about Value and Fun Experiences (how many times have you been able to play “Iron Chef” in a commercial kitchen???)!
Why do we offer guests use of our fully outfitted commercial kitchen?
Several reasons, most of which have to do with feedback from our guests. Many of you have spoken highly of the casualness and utter relaxation of being on your own schedule, not having to show up for a meal at an appointed time…after all, it’s your vacation so if you decide to change your mind at the last minute, getting out early or sleeping in…go right ahead! We also felt in these economic times this was the prudent thing to do, in order to help your hard-earned vacation dollars stretch further. Making this change has enabled us to significantly lower our costs, and pass those savings on to you in the form of discounted rates.
Lastly, for those of you who have drooled over our kitchen facility, and pictured yourself enjoying it – let your creativity flow here at our Crater Lake lodging resort and your secret “inner gourmand” can emerge and be satisfied!
What does full use of our commercial kitchen mean ?
Exactly that. We are fully outfitted: walk-in cooler, propane grill, freezer and dry food storage, dishes, flatware, service ware, glassware – in short, everything you might need to prepare anything from simple comfort food to a gourmet extravaganza. A 6 burner propane stove, 2 ovens, prep tables, commercial dish washing sink and sterilizer, pots, pans, cooking utensils, microwaves. All you supply is the food, and there’s plenty of dry, freezer and refrigerated storage for whatever you might bring to our Upper Klamath Lake lodging.
Where can I get food?
Most of our guests bring their favorite dish fixin’s from home. Full-service groceries as well as farmer’s markets are available in Klamath Falls, Medford, Roseburg , Oakridge and La Pine, depending on what direction and route you’re arriving from. Locally we have some small markets and general stores in Chiloquin and Ft.Klamath for those last minute items.
What if I don’t feel like cooking?
No problem! During the summer season a variety of local restaurants are open in any direction you might be heading for your days’ activities.
Want the perfect gift for someone special? Give them the gift of the perfect experience! Crystalwood Lodge has always offered gift certificates, but now they are available online for your added convenience. Certificates may be purchased in amounts from $25.
And what better way to remember your great time at Crystalwood Lodge than with a souvenir gift. Our gift shopis also available online, and features our most popular Crystalwood Lodge items. Also available are fundraising T-shirts from Briar’s Patch Sled Dogs, as Liz raises funds to care for the sled dog team and pay off the expenses from her successful Iditarod finish — 14 dogs in 14 days! Take a look and see what you like, and please contact us with any questions you might have.
Have you ever wanted to get up close and personal with actual Iditarod Sled Dogs? Cuddle with some of the dogs who ran The Last Great Race in 2008, and truly get an appreciation for what makes them tick. While you’re learning about these magnificent athletes they will revel in the attention and you’re helping them get a head start on next season’s training. Kennel tours and demos available upon request, group pricing available, and kennel tours can be highly customized. Just inquire when you make your lodge reservations. Iditarod talks and slide shows can also be scheduled, based on availability.
