1. Your Personal Information
If you register for our email newsletter or otherwise give us your email address (such as for receiving a reservation confirmation or making an email inquiry), Crystalwood Lodge will collect certain personally identifiable information from you such as your name and e-mail address, and possibly some combination of your mailing address, city and state, and phone number and credit card (if you have made a reservation or previously stayed with us). The foregoing is collectively referred to as “Personal Information.”
3. How the Site May Use Your Personal Information
a) Crystalwood Lodge will use your Personal Information to send the following e-mails to you: (1) in response to an inquiry you initiated, or at the time of booking a reservation, a confirmation email or letter; (2) follow-up emails initiated by either Crystalwood Lodge or the guest relative to a an inquiry or a booked guest stay; (3) informational emails and newsletters informing you of items of interest and general news and information about Crystalwood Lodge and our area; and (4) other administrative e-mails relevant to your use of the Site on an as-needed basis.
b) Crystalwood Lodge may use Personal Information to improve marketing and promotional efforts, to analyze Site usage, and customize the Site’s content, layout, and services.
4. Disclosure of Your Personal Information
Crystalwood Lodge WILL NOT sell or rent any of your Personal Information (including the items you post) to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Crystalwood Lodge may disclose your Personal Information in response to a verified request by law enforcement or other government officials relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity without a subpoena. Crystalwood Lodge will not otherwise disclose your personal information to law enforcement or other government officials without a subpoena, court order or substantially similar legal procedure, except when Crystalwood Lodge believes in good faith that the disclosure of such information is necessary to protect its rights, prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss, or to report suspected illegal activity.
5. Use of Personal Information You Give Us About Third Parties
From time to time Crystalwood Lodge may also collect Personal Information from you about a third party (e.g. Crystalwood Lodge allows you to enter a friend’s e-mail address to inform them about the Site). Unless and until the third party gives us their Personal Information directly, Crystalwood Lodge will not store this information and will use such information only for the specified purpose (e.g., to contact your friend to tell them about Crystalwood Lodge) and for no other purpose.
7. Log Files
As is true of most web sites, Crystalwood Lodge gathers certain “click stream” information automatically and stores it in log files. This information is not linked to individual users’ Personal Information. The click stream information includes: Internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, and date/time stamp. The Site uses this information to analyze trends, administer the site, track (on an anonymous basis) users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about its user base as a whole.
People under 18 may give us their Personal Information only in conjunction with their parent or legal guardian. Persons under 18 may not make reservations or provide us with mailing address, phone number or credit card information.
9. Your Use of Third Party Sites
The Site may contain links to other Internet sites owned by third parties. Your use of each of those sites is subject to the conditions, if any, that each of those sites has posted, including their respective privacy policies.
We take reasonable procedural and technical precautions to keep your Personal Information secure, including the use of encryption, “firewalls,” and Secure Socket Layers. All personally identifiable information is subject to restricted access intended to prevent unauthorized access, modification, or misuse.
11. Changing Your Personal Information
Upon your written request to firstname.lastname@example.org , we will change your Personal Information within or remove your Personal Information from our active database within a reasonable period of time. However, we may retain some of your Personal Information in our archives to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, and comply with legal requirements as is permitted by law.
12. Business Transitions
In the event Crystalwood Lodge goes through a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or a sale of all or a portion of its assets, your Personal Information will likely be among the assets transferred. You will be notified via a notice on the Site’s home page for thirty (30) days of any such change in ownership or control of your Personal Information.
